Mr. Enrico Carniel, 31 years old, Mechanical Engineer graduated at university of Udine, production manager and techincal area supervisor in Comec since 2011, give us a bit of his time to show us techincal and production process that make Comec a leader company in the automotive worldwide market.

How do you manage the research-development-production process?
Research and development are carried out by our engineers by using the most recent design technology.
In last years, the rapid progress of technologies and materials in the global field, push us to keep updated and to move in this direction.
The production is fully automated and monitored by management software that allowed us to optimize the parameters cost-timing-productivity.

What do you produce inside of your company and what outside?
Our strong orientation to self components production was further enriched with new high-level CNC machinery 5-axis in order to allow us to be even more indipendent and flexible if necessary.
Then milling, turning and grinding operation are all handled internally. Furthermore we have the painting, assembly, electrical areas and we totally test all machines.
Our main suppliers give us raw materials such as cast iron, castings or bars, steel and bronze.
Other suppliers give us electric motors, hydraulic system units and sheet metal components.
All these goods are provided by historical italian partners wich we cooperate for many years.
So we could say that the machines we make are 100% made in Italy.

Does the production follow a standard cycle or is it customized by the orders?
Normally we follow a specified cycle of standard production, so we can keep our products almost always in stock.
But, as mentioned, the significant growth automation we have been pursuing in last years allows us to be flexible enough in order to meet particular customer demands.

Wich sources inspire more your continuous development and innovation that you bring to the comec products?
As previously mentioned the continuos research in new solutions and materials plays a key role in the improvement of products Comec.
Other channels are also very important like the frequent comparison with the final users that give us important information and the feedback that our sales manager picked up all over the world.

What are the automotive market trends and how are you moving in that direction?
We can say that the field of traditional mechanics is moving in the direction of the analytical control, or CNC, so this is the way we are following on some models of machines including RP1400CNC, which was presented at the last Autopromotec show in Bologna encountering a great success.

What are the technical features of comec products that give you the market leadership in recent years?
For sure, the continuous development and research of advanced solutions distinguish us from the competitors, both in the customers and automotive-insiders opinion.
In addition, the important investments in the production field allowed us to raise the quality standard of the products, giving a more careful attention to details.
Also we can guarantee to find the spare parts and consumables for machines with more than 30 years old.
